Binsfeldius Cluster Project Hyper-V Server 2012

The Binsfeldius Cluster, based on Hyper-V Server 2008R2, has been running successfully for quite some time now. It has proven itself stable and has met the criteria I’ve set in my first post.

Microsoft has released Hyper-V Server 2012 so the low-power three-node performance virtualization cluster is up for overhaulin’ and moves to the brand new Hyper-V Server 2012 platform.

As before, I’m writing this as I progress through the update of the three node cluster from design, configuration and operation of the cluster. So, the latest entry in the navigation is exactly where I am at.

The index below will allow you to travel the path as I experienced it

  1. Evaluate the original goals and design principles
  2. Network design
  3. Updating a node
  4. Installing Hyper-V Server 2012 to iSCSI Remote Boot LUN
  5. The new domains
  6. Storage design
  7. Configuration steps: sconfig
  8. Getting the new DC1 online (a.k.a. remote management quirks)
  9. It’s the egg…
  10. Joining the nodes to the domain and LUN’s
  11. Creating the three-node-cluster

Enjoy,
Ray
